About Me

My name is Jessica Demere. I was born in Raceland, Louisiana, but I’ve spent most of my life in South Florida. When I was younger, I dreamt of becoming a flight attendant because they got to travel the world on amazing planes. As I got older, my passion for photography and exploring new places grew, but I felt stuck by the high cost of living. In my area, affordable apartments were hard to come by, and I felt like I would be stuck living paycheck to paycheck, never being able to travel.
Then, I stumbled on a video on Instagram showing someone living and traveling in a van. Initially, I thought it would be overwhelming and expensive. But after doing some research and watching a LOT of videos about the pros and cons of van life and even reaching out to some experienced van lifers, I became excited. I realized that this lifestyle resonated with me, and this was what I was meant to do. I’m still in South Florida, saving up for my van. When the time comes, I plan to document the process of renovating the van and my first trip. There will be endless places to discover and see from there, and I look forward to sharing all the discoveries with you!
